Advice Help!

Ok so I took Gracie to her 15 month check up a little while ago and it's getting frustrating. Gracie is still in her 2% and is STILL not 20 pounds yet. She was 18 pounds and 12 oz. Which means in the last three months she has gained a total of 12 oz. She is 16 months old now and still not even legal to be facing forward in her car seat. (We face her forward anyway). The doctor says that if she hasn't gained or made a little bit of progress by her 18 month we're going to have to do this "Calorie Intake Count" thing. Well I use to not worry so much about it because Gracie use to out eat most two year olds. Now she's getting more picky and is not eating food she normally loves. I know this is normal for most one to two year olds to be more interested in playing then taking time to eat but Gracie is not like most "SHE NEEDS TO EAT" the little squirt! So I'm running out of ideas of what to feed her for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. If you have any ideas or recipes please share! I don't want to be counting my toddlers calories when I have a newborn!

Ryans always been in the 5th percent for weight, at two he weighed 22 lbs. We started giving him instant breakfast in milk, and I wrote down everything he ate and its helped a little. I also let him eat more junk food now, he also eats...a lot. He can down 2 pb and j's in a sitting, he just doesnt gain weight. His dr talked about doing a metabloism test on him, but then taylor has been the same way, so they think it's just the way our kids are.

maybe try more protein? i don't know...livie loved and still loves eggs and cottage cheese. i would just load on the calories...if your making eggs...might as well add cheese!! i wish i had better advice.

Jennica i agree with pedisure my friend kari ann uses it and bodi loves it he really wont eat anything. I just think gracie will be a little petit girl. I think cher will be like that once she can walk and is interested more in playing. i would just not worry to much

I know this sounds kinda bad, but one of my friends is having that problem so she lets her daughter drink as much chocolate milk as she wants. It seems to be working, but I don;t know how I'd feel...I guess when calories are all that matters we as mothers just do what we can.

Hi Jenica,
Okay so I have no advice on the feeding thing since I have some light weights myself and some mega picky eaters but I just wanted to say hi since I haven't stopped in for a while. Hope everythings going good!
