New years in St. George

We walked through this crack where two huge rocks meet up. The girls were loving it! Bry was getting a little claustrophobic and I couldn't help but laugh at seeing him like that lol. We litterally had to keep our head turned forward and walk sideways almost the whole way thru. This is my kind of hiking it was so awesome!

We had such a fun time hiking around the red rock in St. George with the girls! To them we might as well been at Disneyland cause they just thought it was the coolest place ever:). The weather was just amazing! And it was just so beautiful!! We had such a great New Years with Bry's family!

So my sister in law and I sewed nativity costumes this year, the girls were soo excited for me to sew them these costumes. Turned out so cute, and the nativity play they did was really cute! I felt like this year the girls were starting to realize that Christmas is not just about presents. Nevaeh was such a good baby Jesus she just sat there and drank her bottle the whole time. Love my girls!

My Big 5 Year Old!

I can not believe I have a 5 year old!! Where has the time gone! Gracie wanted a kitty and doggy party this year, this is her absolute favorite thing to play with her friends and family:). And she has holes in every pair of leggings she owns to prove it lol. Me and my cousins wife made these cute dogs and kitten cupcakes for the party, I thought they were the cutest things ever! And the grahm craker bones with their little toungues hangin out were killin me lol! Gracie still plugs her ears when we sing happy birthday to her ha ha. She had a fun time with her friends! They made some doggy and kitty crafts while they ate scooby snacks that look like dog bones:). And the kids got to take home little doggy bags:).But I think Gracie's favorite besides opening gifts:), was just running around and playing with everyone. Gracie got a lot of littlest pet shop stuff that she loves right now and a Wii with some games. She loved playing the Wii at Grandma's house so we broke down and got her one. Her favorite game is Littlest Pet Shop on the Wii. We also celebrated her real Birthday with family. So she thought it was pretty cool she got cupcakes and a cake at Grandmas:). I just love this girl! She is so special to us! We know Gracie is destined for greatness, she is very strong headed, determined and passionate about things she loves, she picks up on things fast and always surprises me of what she's capable of. Now if we can just survive her lol, we know she will accomplish some great things in her life. She loves her sisters and loves to go to Grandma and Papa Dexter's house in St. George. If you know Gracie you know that she's extremely shy at first but is totally the opposite once you get to know her. Some of her favorite things are her Daddy, her friend Jacob (she so has a crush on this boy lol), her new preschool teacher, Disneyland, puppies, kitties, helping Mom, restaurants, red box movies, going to friends houses, playing make believe with Grandma (my Mom), Grandpa tickiling and chasing her, the library, Mom's homemade rolls, chocolate anything, crafts, gymnastics, riding her bike, going for walks, camping and mountains, and playing outside. We love you so much Gracie!! Thank you for the vibrant colors you put into our lives!

It's that time of year again :). This year was our first time getting professional pictures done! I've been wanting to do it for so long, but wanted to wait till after the Nevaeh was here. We got them done by Frosted Productions, she is such an amazing photographer! She was so good and getting my kids to laugh and smile. And spent a long time with us to get the shots we wanted. This shot was not easy but it was soo worth it! The girls were such good sports and I think they enjoyed getting pictures taken in the mountains. I'm so glad we spent the money to do this cause the girls are at such a cute age right now, and to have these pictures captures them at this time in their life, and their sweet little faces that we can remember and have forever :).

Halloween!

So we had a party on Halloween with my family at our house, and all the cousins got to go trick or treating together! We had our traditional Jack o Lantern pizza's from Papa Murpheys with dried ice home made root beer, spider eggs and yummy meat balls, and of course Krispy kreme guy came and brought us doughnuts! Then the kids went trick or treating, my girls were going crazy this year running door to door in the best Halloween weather ever! Sabi had to make me hold her bucket after a while cause it was getting too heavy lol. After we came back to the house watched Spooky Buddies and decorated halloween cookies. We just love Halloween, and it made it even better to have it with my fam!

6 Months Old!

So we started our fall break by a trip to the doctor's for Nevaeh's 6 month check up. All three girls got shots at the visit (Ahh!). So this is a picture of them before they had their shots, nice and happy. Well I wish I would've taken pictures of them after cause there was a drastic change in their sweet faces. Sabi needed her 3 yr shot and they all needed the flu shot. We were hoping they would have the flu mist but no such luck when we got there they were all out. So I told the girls, well looks like everyone gets to pick out a toy at the store today lol. So they all nominated Nevaeh to be first, poor Veya she didn't have a say in it, and she had to get four shots. Then Gracie said she wanted Sabrina to go first, by the time me and the nurse wrestled Sabi down to get her two shots I saw Gracie open the door to the room and take off down the hall lol. Guess she was hopin for a get away car to come and rescue her ha ha.. So we managed to get Gracie her one little shot and I almost had to laugh when I turned around and there's my three girls all screaming and crying. The nurse looked at me like I was crazy and I was like "well might as well get it all over and done with" lol. I made it up to them in the end though and took them to the pet store to look at the animals and they got to pick out a toy at the store. Nevaeh ended up weighing in at a whole 12 lbs and is on the 8% in weight and the 20% in height. Our little Burnett babies:). Love my girls!

Can not believe it's already time to feed her solids! I have been putting it off and putting it off, poor thing was probably ready for food a while ago. As you can tell the results were good! She loved it!! She was getting all excited before each bite, I just could not feed it fast enough to her LOL. And usually for the first feeding my kids just take a few bites and they're done, Nevaeh finished the whole thing! Thank you to Gracie for taking the pictures:)

I could not have asked for a better 30th!! We started our night off with pedicures and manicures, then we went to Mimi's Cafe for dinner and finished it off with THRILLER! Thank you everyone who came, I was really feeling the love :)! I forgot how fun it is to have girls night out! We had so much fun being pampered, eating yummy food, visiting, and watching Thriller was awesome! Now I'm ready to welcome in my 30s!!

Gardner Village

We went to Gardner Village for family night with the girls. They loved going around spotting out all the witches they saw. Sabi is obsessed with witches, can you tell her passion for them in the pictures lol. After walking around and window shopping we went to Archibalds at Gardner Village for dinner. They have really yummy food! The food portions are quite large so it's good to come hungry :). Gracie told the waitress she wanted a hang-ga-ber lol. And she got one that was just about the size of her head! She was pretty excited about it though. Her and sabi had the left over hang ga ber for lunch today lol.

My sister has a huge orchard of peaches that taste amazing! You can't beat free, thanks sis!! She also has to big plum trees in her front yard and my Mother in law had an amazing recipe for plum jam that is heavenly, so we canned a bunch of plum jam as well. I love this time of year when we can stock up on yummy food for the winter!!

Gracie started gymnastics a couple of weeks ago, and she is just loving it!! The first day she was a little nervous but after that she really took to it. She's livin my dream! I always wanted to be a gymnast but I could only get so far with how tall I was. Gracie has the perfect little gymnast body and the determination. The night before gymnastics I tried to teach her a cartwheel and she was bound and determined to have it before she went to bed that night lol. And to my suprise she did it! She learned a cartwheel in one night!! So proud of her for getting over her fears and shyness and doing something she really loves. It was hard for her to force herself out of her comfort zone, but she loves gymnastics so much that she made herself give it a try and now she is so glad she did! Way to go Gracie!!

So we took a girls trip in September, me my sister and my Mom drove down to St. George for a quick getaway. It was suppose to be a no kids trip but it didn't quite work out that way for me, but was still fun non the less! My cousin was having a shower in Mesquite so we used the excuse to get away and enjoy some shopping and pool time. I love all the babies that have been born on my side of the family they are all so close and so much fun to get them all together! We decided to make this a yearly trip only next year just the Moms!

So I did a little photo shoot with Nevaeh and played dress up with my little dolly:) Our camera hasn't been working all that well so I borrowed my Mom's nice camera and I'm lovin it! The pictures turn out so good and professional looking. It helps to have a cutie behind the lens as well ;) I'm diggin the blue eyes! A lot of people that see her say "she looks like her Mom", and I'm loving that! She does look like her sisters, but I can claim the blue eyes:)

This year Both girls are in preschool! Sabrina goes to the 3 to 4 yr class and Gracie is in the 4 to 5. Sabrina has been waiting patiently for her turn to go to school and she's loving it! Gracie loves her teacher, and we are very excited about that! Her last teacher she never bonded with so it made it difficult for her to want to go to school. This year when I took her the teacher had to peel her off me because she didn't want to go. But when I picked her up she was grinning from ear to ear and told me "Mom I love my new teacher, she's my favorite", I was thinking SCORE HOMERUN! I can not tell you how nice it is to drop them off together at the same time! It is so weird, and is going to take some getting use to, to have them gone at the same time. It's so quiet with just me and Nevaeh. I go to the store and I keep looking around me like I should have my girls with me. I think back to when I just had Gracie as a baby and think, did I really think going grocery shopping or having one child was hard?? Cause this is cake!! It's times like these that I'm so glad I have my two girls close in age. They are the best of friends! They do everything together, and how lucky are they to always have a playmate to play with! Love my girls they are growing up so fast I can't believe it.

She is 4 months now almost 5! I'm already feeling guilty cause she is growing up so fast and I have not taken near as many pictures and video of her as I have on the other girls. I'm going to be better! I also wanted to post this picture because you can see the strawberry color in her hair really good lol. Who would've thought I would have a little red head:) She must of got it from her Great Grandpa Risinger. We are thinking it will eventually go blonde but until then we are enjoying our little strawberry short cake:)

We went to Bryan's Boss Cabin two weekends ago and rented a side by side. It was one of Bry's master mind group trips that we take every year and it's always a blast! There was like six families there and they were all so fun to be with. We had good food, lots of 4 Wheeling and mud:) and the cabin we stayed in was so beautiful, and filled with these huge trophey animals and huge windows to see these breath taking views! The girls loved the cabin and 4 wheeling, especially Sabi, she never wanted to get out of the side by side:) One of our rides was particularly adventurous, we were coming back to the cabin and it started to sprinkle a little then it started pouring rain and then it started hailing. The pour girls didn't have any helmets on so they were getting pelted on in the back. And this was the only trip we took with the baby with us! So I was so worried about her and tried to keep her covered up as best as I could. And just when we thought it couldn't get any worse Bryan drove us as fast as he could straight in a mud puddle and drenched us completely lol. Bryan and I couldn't help but look at each other and laugh. I started to worry a little until finally we saw the cabin in sight hooray! We weathered the storm and the girls were really good sports! We saw three bucks on one of our 4 wheeling trips and they were right on their property! Gracie also got to shoot a gun for the first time! The first of many I'm sure. She was so funny I asked her how it went and she said "Mom I shot a gun and I didn't even cover my ears, and the gun scratched me and I didn't die", lol too funny! This girl is always asking daddy when she gets to shoot deers ha ha. This was such a fun trip!

Pismo Beach

Where did the summer go? July and August just went by in a blur and we were here there and everywhere in between! We went to Pismo Beach in California to a family reunion in August. It was a very quick trip but fun all the same! It was so good to see some cousins I have not seen in a long time! I miss them already, especially my old roomy Kendra! It was so fun to see how everyones kids had grown and catch up on what everyone's been doing lately. We went to a few different beaches, I even tried some skim boarding:) And Bryan finally got to show me what a pro he is at it finally! He use to do it in Highschool a lot and he hasn't done it since but you couldn't tell. The kiddos enjoyed the beach and the sand and playing with eachother of course. We left Gracie in St. George with Grandma and Papa Burnett cause she wanted to play with her cousin that was staying there and she gets very grumpy in long car rides:)

Las Vegas Trip!

Bryan has a Real Estate Retreat every year in July, and usually Bry will either go by himself or just me and him will go. This time we decided to make it a family trip and see how it goes. I was a little nervous taking two toddlers and a baby to Las Vegas and knowing Bry would be in meetings the majority of the time so I would be on my own with the girls, but it turned out to be soo much fun! And we are planning on doing it that way every year now. We stayed in the Signature Towers which is attached to the MGM Grand. In that part of the Hotel you don't have to walk thru the casino ever if you don't want to. And they have their own pool which is mostly all families that are using it. The pool was way nice and had a nice shallow part for the kids to play in. The other awesome part was the pool was shaded by all the hotels around it, so from 9am to almost one in the afternoon the whole pool is completely shaded. So we went to the pool everyday we were there and I would just relax while the girls played in the water, (Yay!). And we got a suite for 120 bucks a night! Two bedrooms two bathrooms and a full kitchen with all the cooking supplies. My favorite was the huge jetted tub, ( I think I took a bath in it everyday we were there lol). We also like the MGM (not only because the retreat is there), but they have a huge lion habitat there that was awesome! They also have the Rain Forest Cafe there that the girls loved eating at. One of the nights we took a cab and went to the Mandalay Bay to look at the Shark Reef Aquarium, it is the nicest one in North America! It was awesome and the girls absolutely loved that and so did we. Who would've known that Las Vegas is such a fun place for kids and families. You just got to know where to stay, what to avoid and what to see. I did get a lot of weird looks the few times we went thru the casino, like why in the world would they have 3 kids so close together lol (would've loved to see the looks on their faces if my sister was walking in there with her 7 kids lol). And I probably got asked a dozen times if Gracie and Sabi were twins, ha ha. Next year we are planning on taking the girls to see the Lion King show at the Mandalay Bay. Loved this trip, it was so fun and surprisingly relaxing at times.

Three Months Old Already!

Time is going by so fast, can't believe three months has come and gone. Nevaeh is growing so fast and just get cuter (and sweeter) by the second. She is such a happy baby now and smiling all the time. We've got her to almost laugh a few times and she trys to talk to us (so cute). We are thinking we have our first blue eyed child! So excited about that! She's the first grandchild on my side and Bry's side with blue eyes. She also is starting to get a little strawberry in her blonde hair:). We love our little angel!

Sabrina is our big three year old now!! Can't believe it... Sabi wanted an Ariel Birthday party. We had a blow up water slide and had Ariel make an appearance :). It was a lot of fun and the weather turned out just perfect. All the girls were so funny when Ariel came they were all just in awe lol. When it was time for her to leave some of them followed her out and were asking her all sorts of questions, like where do you live? What color of car do you drive? Too funny and so cute!

For the 4th of July we stayed at the Marriot in Provo so we could go early to the parade and go swiming after. We had lots of fun! We got an awesome spot at the parade thanks to my cousin and her family! I was bummed though cause I forgot my camera at my hotel. After swimming we had a yummy barbecue at my parents and did fireworks at night. Some of my favorite things to do for the fourth is family time, barbecue, home made icecream (thanks Mom and Dad), swimming and fireworks. We love the Fourth of July! So glad we live in a beautiful and free country!

We did a fun little hike at Cascade Springs with the Burnett family. It is so beautiful up there and the kids just loved it! Sabrina loves to go exploring in the mountains, she is always far ahead of everyone and just can't wait to see what's around the next corner:).

We had Bryan's family reunion over the fourth of July weekend. All of Bryan's brothers and sisters were there, it was so much fun, and so good to see everyone. We felt very fortunate to have all of them here for Nevaeh's blessing. Coming all the way from St. George and the East Coast. There's six grand daughters and one grandson. Poor Jaron needs a buddy! He loves the girls though:).

Nevaeh is changing soo much! She is two months old now and is starting to smile and coo now. She has had a rough time adjusting to this new life of hers and is starting to do much better. She has reflux and has cried a lot from it. After she hit about 8 weeks old she has started crying a lot less and being much more calm and peaceful. She is a good sleeper at night and loves to be held and talked too. She gets cuter by the day and has a very special spirit about her. We love her soo much!

Sabi's Dance Recital

Sabrina had her first dance recital at the Covey Center in Provo! It was her first time on a big stage and she did so good! I had to drop her off back stage with the rest of the performers and I have to admit I was a little scared. With all the performers and craziness going on I was worried they were going to lose my child. But Sabrina wasn't worried one bit she was so excited to be part of the performers and was fine that I left her with some lady she didn't know. But I was reassured when I saw her smiling face when the curtains opened. This girl loves to perform and be in front of all the people:) (such the opposite of her older sister lol). I was the beaming mother in the crowd so proud of my little girl. She did great! She was pointing at me and waving at me when she saw me in the audience (so cute). I also have a funny story of Sabrina, during Gracie's preshcool graduation. Gracie did not want to be up in front of all the parents and families singing the songs (no surprise) so Gracie came and sat by us. Sabrina loved watching the kids perform and would applaud them after each song. Then with out warning she stood up walked up there and sat in Gracie's empty seat and started singing with the graduating class LOL.. We were crying we were laughing soo hard! She would sing along the best she could and follow the teachers actions to the songs. She just fit right in, you would have never known she wasn't in that preschool class. After that we were pretty confident that she would do well at her little dance recital. Love this girl she always surprises us and keeps us laughing:).

So we found out a few days ago that little Nevaeh has to come sooner then later. After a lots of ultrasounds and nonstress tests the doctors decided she needs to come early. They say she's measuring small and my amniotic fluid is really low. Together not a good combination I guess. So they are inducing me on Tues, in four days! She will be three weeks early and really tiny. We are hoping she makes it to 5 lbs before they deliver. It's kind of been a whirlwind the last few days cause we had nothing ready for her! I honestly thought that my last ultrasound was going to go fine and they would just let me go full term. I'm feeling more prepared now though, we got all our shopping done and got her a carseat ( yeah we didn't even have that LOL). I also had to get a bunch of preemie clothes and diapers, which I can't believe looking at them that she's really going to be that small! We pray she will be healthy and strong despite her size and coming 3 weeks early. I received a strong spiritual confirmation early on in this pregnancy, when I was trying to choose a new doctor. That I was suppose to be with these doctors. So I had a feeling that something was going to go a little different with this pregnancy. If not for that experience I might have gone with another doctor that might have not caught what these ones did, and I don't think I would have done all these tests if not from that experience. I would have most likely ignored them and said "I'm fine, I just measure small and have small babies". So I felt like I needed to listen to them and do what they asked of me, cause I knew there was a reason for being with these doctors. It has also strengthened my testimony that our Heavenly Father is mindful of us and is watching out for our well being. What peace of mind that gives me and for this little one that is about to enter into our lives:). We are so excited for her to come and feel very blessed to have another little angel in our home.

Today is me and Bryan's 5 year anniversary! I can't believe it has been 5 years already! Bryan is the best person I could possibly be married too, and I can't imagine my life without him. He is my best friend and an amazing father. Bryan has a great sense of humor and always has me laughing. He works so hard for his family and sacrifices a lot. Bryan planned out all of our Anniversary this year and I'm way excited for it! He reserved a room at Sundance this weekend! We are going to do a pottery class and go out to the Tree Room for dinner. Then on Saturday we get to sleep in then Bryan is going to take skiing lessons, while I get to go to the spa and get a manicure and pedicure! Pure bliss! Bryan's sis is going to watch the kiddos for us while we're gone, (thanks Kelly)! This will be a much needed break and an Anniversary to remember:). Happy Anniversary Babe, I love you soo much!

Sabi had her little Valentine dance class today! She loved that I fixed her tutu so that she could wear it just for her class today. After their dance class they had a little tea party and passed out valentines and treats. Here's a pic of my growing belly:). Almost seven months now. So this pregnancy has been a little different then my first two to say the least. I got really sick on this one the first few months then I felt good for about two months, not sick pretty comfortable. Now I feel like I'm almost 9 months pregnant instead of almost 7 months. I have all that great pelvic pain already and a lot harder braxton hick contractions and a lot more often. I feel like the baby is already way low and it all just seems too soon for how far along I am. I think becuse this is my third pregnancy and my body has just done this all before so it's preparing much sooner this time. The baby I think is the most active baby I've carried, which I don't mind, that's one of the funnest parts about being pregnant is feeling that little baby move around:). I feel very blessed to be having a healthy pregnancy with a healthy baby, so I will stay positive and be so thankful when she's here! By the way Gracie took this picture, quite the little photographer. She loves taking pictures:)

So I think french braids in girls hair is so cute, and here I am going to have three girls and I don't even know how to french braid! So I was bound and determined that I teach myself. So I got on line read about it and watched some videos and finally figured out how to do it! These aren't the best french braids cause I'm still learning, but I'm really excited to get better at it and do some creative things with my girls hair:)

Eating at a little Cafe on the Pier

So we stay at the Hyatt every year right next to Seaport Village and we had a gorgeous view of the ocean bay where all the big cruise ships come and go. Seaport Village is lined with all these cute little shops and really good resturaunts and there's always live music playing somewhere. They also have in the middle a darling old Merry Go Round that was originally made in the 1950s and it tells you all the places that it has been since. Gracie got to ride on it like everyday we were there and would always tell me what animal she wanted to ride the next day LOL.. We introduced a lot of new foods to Gracie on this trip and she did a really good job eating them:). We had fish, chinese and ate at Bryan's favorite Restaurant called "The Field" a irish pub (really good food). This was such a fun trip and can't wait to come next year!

Gracie loves to climb and always shocks me how good she is at it.

These little light switches were a hit with all the kids. Each light would turn on a different noise or light. I felt like Sabrina was missing out on so much this trip and it was so hard being away from her, but I knew it would have been very hard to be on my own with the girls while Bry was at his retreat during the day. It was fun spending time with just one of them and Gracie really loved having the focus on just her for a while. I would love to do this with each of my kids and give them some one on one time with Mom and Dad to make them feel special.

There was a Children's Museum across from our Hotel that was a a lot of fun! They had this new exhibit that day were you could create your own monster that had velcrow all over it, and they had this photographer that wanted to take pictures of kids playing with it. Well seeing how it's San Diego and not "Utah" there was hardly any kids there so Gracie was the only one playing with the exhibit. This was Gracie's favorite exhibit probably and the guy was just snapping pictures of her left and right while Gracie was in her own little world not even noticing her picture was being taken LOL.. So Gracie maybe famous and wind up in some random newspaper ha ha..

Bryan had a Real Estate Retreat in San Diego so Gracie and I went along too. We stopped in St. George overnight and dropped off Sabi at Bry's parents. We got there a day early to all go to Sea World together and I forgot to charge my camera so it was dead the whole day I was only able to take pics with my phone unfortunately. But Sea World was really fun! Gracie really enjoyed the shows and the rides. Then on Monday we went to San Diego Zoo! My friend Laura and her daughter Emily went with us, her husband works at Bryan's office and they were there for the retreat as well. I forgot how big that zoo is and how almost impossible it is to see everything in one day. I think we did a pretty good job though and saw quite a bit. Gracie loved all the animals and taking pictures by all the statues:) The nice thing about this Zoo is you can see all the animals really close up so that was really neat!

We had a geat Christmas this year with the girls and my family. Christmas morning I would love to do over and over with the girls. Their faces were so cute and lit up when they came down the stairs. They were so excited when they saw that Santa had been to our house. We opened presents and the girls played with their new toys all morning. Then we went to my Mom's house in the afterenoon and opened presents from them and ate a yummy turkey dinner! Thanks Mom and Dad for the gifts and the good food! We had a wonderful Christmas and feel so blessed to have each other and celebrate another year of Jesus's birth.

After Santa came to our house!

We were on our own this Christmas Eve, and it was kinda fun just our little family. So we did some old and some new traditions with the girls. First we taped the girls doing the nativity scene while Bryan narrated the story. The girls put on their hooded bath towels and Gracie wanted to be Mary and Sabi wanted to be Jesus lol.. Even though she looked more like Mary:) Then we made some cookies for Santa and left a plate out for him with a glass of milk. Then we got some magic reindeer food from Santa's stables, (Oats and glitter), and sprinkled it outside so the reindeer could have a midnight snack . Then the girls watched a Scooby Christmas cartoon before they went to bed.

Sabi's First Snow Day!

This year was Sabrina's first time to actually play in the snow. You can see the excitement all over her face LOL.. We had a hard time this year convincing Gracie to wear any kind of coat or boots this winter. And finally right before we got this big snow storm we finally had a break through! So glad Gracie has a little sis to help her along because I don't know what we would do with out her. I think it helped that Sabrina was so eager to get her snow gear on and ready to play in the snow, the excitement finally rubbed off on Gracie. I let them play in the snow in the yard for over an hour and practically had to drag them back in for lunch. And the only thing that got them to come in is promising them when Daddy got home they could go out with him again.

We were in St. George with Bry's family for Thanksgiving so we celebrated Gracie's B-day while we were there. First we went to Pirate Island for lunch and ordered these three large pizzas that could have fed an army LOL. Gracie had fun playing the games there and playing on the little pirate ship. Gracie loves pirates so she loved seeing all the pirates there. Then we went and saw the movie "Tangled" in 3D and Gracie really loved that. Afterward we went back to Bry's parents and had cake and icecream. It was a nice low key fun Birthday and it was fun having Gracie's cousin Jaron and some of the Burnett family there. Thanks Burnett family for making this a special day for Gracie!

We had some friends and family over on Halloween night and we ate yummy pizza from Papa Murphys and a pumpkin pie pudding. While we were trying to wait out the rain to take out our excited trick or treaters we watched "How To Train Your Dragon". Such a cute movie I highly recomend it! Then finally the rain died down and we were able to get our anxious trick or treaters out the door. Sabrina was such a trooper after every door she would say "another one", LOL. Even in the cold chilly night it would not stop this girl. Gracie was a little shy though and left the door knocking up to Sabi and her cousin Noah. After we finished we went to my parents for more treats and family:)

Halloween Festivities and turning 29!

We went to Barnyard Boo a couple weeks ago with my Mom and my brother's kids. The girls have just been loving this month and all the fun festivities that come with it. They had all kinds of fun activities and games for the kids to do, but always the favorite is riding the ponys. I also turned 29 this month! So for my Birthday Bryan and I and my family went out to eat at Cheesecake Factory and went and saw the show Thriller which was awesome! I wish I would have taken pictures while we were there because they had all these dead zombies walking around the theater and coming right up in you face and sitting next to you before the show started. I swear my sister and I had targets on our heads or something cause the zombies just loved scaring us LOL.. My Dad got awesome pics of it on his phone so if I can get a hold of them I will post them:) But the dancers were amazing and soo talented, the zombies were quite the actors also. They also did a awesome tribute to Michael Jackson in it that was really cool. Such a good Birthday and fun night!

Soup Receipes :)

Wild Rice Soup

Cook 3 cups cooked wild rice
Cook 1 1/2 lbs Chicken (save the broth)

Melt 1/2 C plus 2 Tb butter
add 1 C flour. Stir together until pastey

Set aside

In 2 T butter saute the following Vegi's

1 c finely chopped celery
1 c finely chopped onion
1/3 c finely chopped green bell pepper
1/3 c finely chopped red bell pepper
1 c diagonally sliced carrots

Saute until onions are clear
then add
2 c sliced mushrooms
1 med jalapeno pepper finely chopped

Bring 1 gallon chicken broth to boil and then add flour mixture. Let simmer until thickened.

Stir in cooked vegetables, plus
1 Tb finely chopped parsley
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Simmer
add chicken, rice and
1 c heavy whipping cream

Heat through
Pour into bowls and to with toasted slivered almonds (optional)

This is one soup worth the work! So delicious and makes a lot!

We boiled a whole chicken for this cut up some celery and onions and salt in the water and cooked it for an hour to two hours. Until meat is falling of the bone. This chicken is so delicious and the best for soups!

So my Mother in law came into town and asked me what I would like for a early Birthday present, so this is what I came up with. I have always wanted to do a Soup day in the fall and make three different soups in one day and freeze them so you have yummy soup all winter! We boiled two whole chickens cooked a crock pot full of beans and came up with 16 quarts of soup and extra chicken and beans to freeze! We made Wild Rice soup, Chicken Noodle soup and Chilie. Best Birthday present ever thanks for helping Deonna!

Sabrina My Ballerina

So I've been meaning to post this a while ago. I put Sabrina and Gracie in this little two year old dance class, Gracie didn't really take to it but Sabrina just loves it. I put Gracie in with Sabrina in high hopes it would make her more brave and want to dance. Gracie didn't show any interest after a month, so I gave it my best shot. We decided we're going to try gymnastics with her in the summer when preschools over. Sabrina is just a doll in this little class and just loves all the fun things they get to dress up in and little props to dance with. They also get to do a little princess tea party at the end of every class. What a great idea to do a semi-structured dance class for two year olds to introduce them to movement and dance! These two year olds just love it and they even do two dance recitals towards the end of the season:) Sabrina is so funny every time the teacher puts something on her she runs over to me to show me and poses for a picture (how cute is that). I have a feeling a lot of dance classes and recitals are in the future for this little twinkle toes.
